O site oficial do Anime de televisão da Moto’o Nakanishi Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō Novel Series revelou na terça-feira um novo e novo elenco para o Meiji Arc, que começou no 22º episódio na segunda-feira. O site também anunciou que haverá atrasos nos dois últimos episódios devido a problemas de produção. Os 23 e 24 episódios serão exibidos nos 22 e 29 de setembro, respectivamente. The anime premiered with a one-hour special first episode on the Tokyo MX channel on March 3. It also aired on BS Fuji and MBS on April 1. Starting with the second episode, the anime moved to its regular timeslot on Tokyo MX on April 7 at 12 midnight JST (effectively, April 8), then em MBS e BS Fuji em 8 de abril. O anime irá ao ar para dois cursos consecutivos (trimestres de um ano).

Aiura (Assassins Pride, Hori-san to Miyamura-kun (OAV) is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab. Deko Akao (Assassins Pride, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Noragami) is overseeing the series scripts, Tarō Ikegami (Lapis Re:LiGHTs) is designing the characters, and Ryuuichi Takada, Kiichi Hirokawa e Kuniyuki Takahashi de Mônaca estão compondo a música.
