Duo canceled appearances, postponed event due to Suzuki’s poor health

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of rap duo Chelmico revealed on Thursday that member Makiko Suzuki has been in poor health recently, and announced that the duo will take a break from activities, as Suzuki focuses on recovering. Chelmico apologized to their supporters and related parties for the concern and inconvenience, and added that they will announce their return at a later date.
With their hiatus, the duo announced that their appearance at the”CRAFTROCK FESTIVAL’25″event on May 11 has been canceled, and their”Chelmico warehouse pop-up store at KATA”scheduled from May 14-18 has been postponed. The duo earlier canceled their appearance at the”Ameri 10th Anniversary NO RULES FOR LIFE Powered by J-WAVE”live event on May 5.
Suzuki’s solo appearance at the”KOBE MELLOW CRUISE 2025″on May 10, and at the MIYAKO RESORT MUSIC FES Shangri-La 2025 on May 24, has also been canceled. There will be no ticket refunds for the canceled performances.
Additionally, lottery application for tickets for Chelmico’s public recording of their”Chelmico no potsucastsu”podcast, scheduled on May 18, has been invalidated and those who want to get tickets have to apply again for the lottery when a new date has been decided.
