Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Aired antara Januari 2024 hingga Januari 2025. Serial mengikuti karakter Mayor Motoko Kusanagi dan anggota Bagian Keamanan Publik 9 saat mereka menyelidiki kasus kejahatan dunia maya dan terorisme. Insiden Laughing Man adalah kasus menyeluruh yang sedang diselidiki karakter dalam seri ini.
