Toyotaro, de illustrator van de Dragon Ball Super manga, heeft een gloednieuwe one-shot getiteld Lost Samurai uitgebracht. The 45-page draft of the project has been officially published on the V Jump website.
The new project comes at a time of uncertainty for Dragon Ball Super, which has been on an indefinite hiatus following the death of original creator Akira Toriyama in March 2024.
During a stage conference at Japan Expo on July 3, 2025, Toyotaro addressed the future of the serie, waarin staat dat het niet”onmogelijk”zou zijn om de manga zonder Toriyama voort te zetten. Voormalig Dragon Ball redacteur Kazuhiko Torishima erkende echter dat de beslissing uiteindelijk bij de rechtenhouders ligt, en niet met Toyotaro.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero .
Een follow-up one-shot met Goten en Trunks werd later uitgebracht als hoofdstuk 104 en samengesteld in het 24e deel van de manga. Een full-color-editie van dat deel werd uitgebracht in Japan op 4 juli 2025.
