The Lupin The Iiird the Movie: Fujimi no Ketsuzoku Film wordt op 27 juni in Japan geopend.
Het verhaal van de film volgt Lupine en zijn team als ze een schat op zoek zijn naar een mysterieus unmarked eiland. Lupin The Iiird: Jigen’s Grautestone, Lupin The Iiird: Goemon’s Blood Spray, Lupin the Iiird: Fujiko Mine’s Lie) keert terug naar de franchise om de film te regisseren bij Telecom Animation Film. According to the staff, the film will be the first new 2D feature-length anime film in the franchise in nearly 30 years, since Lupin III: Dead or Alive in 1996. Since then other anime have screened in theaters such as Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen’s Gravestone, Lupin the IIIrd: Goemon’s Blood Spray, and Lupin the IIIrd: Fujiko Mine’s Lie, but those were not feature-length Films. De film Lupine III van 2019 was CG, en de film Lupine III vs. Detective Conan, de film 2013 en de film Lupine III vs. Cat in 2023 waren beide crossover-films.
