Anime film sequel Poupelle of Chimney Town ~Yakusoku no Tokeidai~ (Eiga Entotsumachi no Poupelle ~Yakusoku no Tokeidai~) has received a March 27, 2026 Japanese release date, along with a teaser trailer and teaser visual.
The movie is arriving more than five years since the first Poupelle of Chimney Town film premiered in Japan in December 2020. The plot, inspired by Poupelle creator Akihiro Nishino‘s picture book Tick Tock: Yakusoku no Tokeidai, sees returning protagonist Lubicchi wandering into a world that has exerted control over time, and where a mysterious clock tower stands with its hands at 11:59.
