WEBTOON confirmed at Anime Expo on Saturday that Urek Mazino, the first official side story from SIU’s Tower of God webtoon, will be released in English starting on July 28.
Originally launched in Korean on Naver WEBTOON on April 28, the series follows the untold backstory of Urek Mazino — a powerful Irregular and key figure in the Tower of God universe. Kisah sampingan mengeksplorasi masa lalunya sebelum memasuki menara dan dorongannya untuk menghadapi wujud teratas, phantaminum.
Awalnya diluncurkan pada 2010, Tower of God telah melampaui 5 miliar pandangan secara global. Serial ini diterbitkan dalam 10 bahasa, termasuk bahasa Inggris, Jepang, dan Prancis. Sejak itu telah diadaptasi menjadi game, animasi, dan media lainnya. The anime’s first season debuted on Crunchyroll in April 2020, and the anime’s second season debuted in July 2024. The second season aired for two consecutive cours (quarter of a year).
Naver WEBTOON stated the release of Urek Mazino is part of its effort to expand the narrative universe of its most popular IPs, while also enhancing content diversity and reader engagement on the platform.
