The second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is set to premiere in January 2026. This was revealed during the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End ~Magic of Talk~ [Status Report] livestream event on March 5, 2025.
The announcement was accompanied by a new teaser visual featuring the tagline “A trivial, but irreplaceable adventure.”
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End season 2 was announced on Sep 28, 2024.
The second season will once again be produced by Madhouse.
Season 1 of the anime aired from September 2023 to March 2024, with Keiichiro Saito serving as the director, scripts supervised by Tomohiro Suzuki, and character designs handled by Reiko Nagasawa.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End started serializing in Shogakukan’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020, with its chapters collected in 13 tankobon volumes as of April 2024.
By June 2024, the manga had over 22 million copies in circulation.
The series is licensed for English release in North America by Viz Media and in Southeast Asia by Shogakukan Asia.
